QFT in Curved Spacetime


On 14th January 2014, Zac Kenton gave a seminar entitled "QFT in Curved Spacetime". He discussed plane wave expansions of scalar fields on backgrounds with arbitrary metric, arguing that the notion of a vacuum is frame dependent. This leads naturally to the Unruh effect and Hawking radiation. The following resources are available.
